Welcome to Technically Motivated Forums! This is a special area of the Technically Motivated Website, that allows for public discussions with other members of the site. Put simply, here's where you can start discussions that anyone can join in with at any time; and together you can contribute valuable Technology insights – or just relax and have a good time.
Being a public area, we admit that this part of the site is probably less controlled than anywhere else on the site. With Technically Motivated being designed with a view to be suitable to everybody in the family, though, some control needs to be exercised, lest this website decend into harsh terrain. Rather than make up the rules as we go along, like some websites, I thought it would be good to have some basic Rules and Regulations already set down so that there's a clear message as to what "family friendly" means here.
The primary rule for posting on these forums is simple:
Do not post anything that you would not want your relatives and friends to know about and/or see you visit. This is a rule I am very strict on – everybody is encouraged to report posts that they feel are inappropriate by "family standards", and myself and any other moderators are instructed to delete them as soon as they come to attention.
Additionally:
- If you post ANYTHING on these Forums for which you took text or information from another website, you should link back to that website at the end of your post as a sign of respect and giving credit where its due.
- Any freebies posted must be 100% legit and legal. No cracks, warez, etc. You also aren't allowed to post freebies meant for a specific group of people – for example, freebies intended only for subscribers of certain websites or magazines. Obviously, if it is a freebie intended for our website, that's an exception to this rule

I hope everyone finds these rules and regulations easy to understand and comply with. If anyone DOES have a problem with these, do please bring it up with me via PM. Do be aware this list is very basic and could change at any time. Obviously, if any rule is broken, an able person will have to delete the content responsible for breaking the rule as soon as it comes to attention. I won't feel bad about anyone who DOES get a post deleted, but I would ask you to learn from your mistake and try to avoid getting posts deleted again. It goes without saying that a person that continually breaks rules will end up being banned from being any further part of the Forums.
