Rumour: Nintendo 3DS to be Released in Japan on 20 November?

A Twitter user going by the user name of ‘nocchisan’, who apparently is or was an employee at Japanese Videogaming company Key Factory, tweeted that Key Factory is gearing up to launch 3DS peripherals to coincide with the Japanese launch of the hand-held on 20 November 2010.

However, shortly after the tweet was posted, the Twitter account disappeared completely from the service, taking the tweet along with it.

The tweet read: “On November 20th, the 11 goods I designed for use with the 3DS will go on sale simultaneously. Those of you buying the 3DS, please buy them while you’re at it! This will be officially announced on the homepage eventually, lol. Best regard.”

Neither Nintendo nor Key Factory are commenting on the post, although many take the removal of the tweet as evidence that it is trustworthy. However, Nintendo recently called a press conference, scheduled for 29 September, in which the video gaming giant is expected to release more details on the upcoming 3d gaming device. It is possible any information about a potential release date may be confirmed – or busted – during that event.

Hmm, seems like Nintendo/Key Factory and Twitter are involved in a cover up. I guess we have a date to look forward to now XD I can’t wait for the 3DS!

  • well who WOULDNT wanna give a fake date to screw everyone over…

and i still say the 3ds is overrated

  • I don’t really understand some things on Twitter, because it’s like some accounts ran by a robot, but this could just be a fraud who posted a random date. It sounds like you think that since Key Factory wanted it deleted, they didn’t want people knowing about that date. But anybody would request an admin delete that account if they were impersonating, so no guarentees.
